2020-21 Israel Studies Research Seminars
The Center’s research seminars bring together UCLA faculty, postdoctoral fellows and graduate students to discuss research-in-progress related to modern Israel and build an interdisciplinary research community engaged in Israel Studies. The seminars meet twice per quarter via Zoom. Click here for more information.
We support innovative research projects that relate to the modern state of Israel across a wide range of disciplines. These include history, political science, economics, sociology, literature, visual and performing arts, management, engineering, law, public health, environment and sustainability.

The Center supports the publication of academic research in Israel Studies by UCLA and visiting faculty and scholars, including post-doctoral fellows and graduate student researchers. These include publications resulting from research grants or research conducted while affiliated with the Nazarian Center, as well as conference and symposia proceedings.

The Center also sponsors conferences with scholars and policymakers that foster new perspectives on Israel and brings them to researchers, students and the greater Los Angeles community.
