A scholarship for learning Mandarin Chinese and exploring Taiwan consisting of 25,000 NTD/ month, studying in the Mandarin Training Center at NTNU for 2-3 months. Open to all current students of UCLA. At this information session, scholarship representatives will provide an introduction to the 2025 Huayu BEST Scholarship Program at NTNU.
Deadline:
- Spring: 4/14/2025
- Summer: 4/14/2025
- Summer Session (2 months): 5/15/2025
- Fall Session (4 months): 4/26/2025
Obligations:
- Attendance and learning performance required.
- Participation in the NTNU Hand-in-Hand Companion Program (Service to school children in remote areas)
- Provide TOCFL score transcripts before or after arriving in Taiwan.
Application Materials:
- Application Form (or you may download a copy here).
- One Letter of Recommendation from an instructor (The instructor referee should directly send the recommendation letter via an email to huayubest@mtc.ntnu.edu.tw with Subject: "Recommendation for Your Name). The letter of recommendation can be sent within 15 days after the deadline.
- Official university transcript (sent by your university).
- A photocopy/scan of your passport photo page.
- TOCFL (Mandarin Test) transcript, if available.
